Monsters vs. Aliens 3D
I quite enjoyed this — it wasn’t brilliant, but it wasn’t half-bad either. The 3D aspect was played up to a few times with characters pointing out of the screen, but it was mostly used for, and gave great effect to, the scope of the landscape and things like flying debris.
There were more than a few laugh-out-loud moments with plenty for the adults to giggle at, too — one character sees a wonderous sight and exclaims: “By Hawkin’s chair!” which made me laugh more than most.
Seven out of ten.
