When Jimmy Carr announced that tickets for his new tour were going on sale today I decided to book a pair and so looked up if and when he’d be in Birmingham — September 22nd at the Symphony Hall.

Monsters vs. Aliens 3D
I quite enjoyed this — it wasn’t brilliant, but it wasn’t half-bad either. The 3D aspect was played up to a few times with characters pointing out of the screen, but it was mostly used for, and gave great effect to, the scope of the landscape and things like flying debris.
There were more than a few laugh-out-loud moments with plenty for the adults to giggle at, too — one...
